Big news! A change in the weather has brought some much needed relief to the LLER. With temperatures in the 70-80's I was able to be in my office and only go half crazy.
We also received news that a temporary chill water system is arriving on Monday and a new AC unit has been purchased for the building! An additional attempt to appease the masses came in the form of two 8000 btu units being installed in a 1500 square foot room. I do not think that 16000 BTU will make a difference but the thought is nice. I did discover that one of the units does not work, it only circulates the air, and reported it. As usual I do not think I made any friends by my action.
So we suffered for over two weeks, most of last week had us peaking at 98 degrees on several days. Nature provided us relief before the maintenance staff could react, hopefully nature will stay on our side. I was not and am still not pleased with the speed or lack there of that the problem was addressed. Perhaps my expectations are to high?
